The Heavy Bowie from Ka-bar is one beast of a knife and popular among hunters and tactical enthusiasts alike, and for good reason. With a whopping 9" blade and 14 1/4" overall length this knife is perfect for handling some of the heftier tasks the wilderness has to offer. Whether it be processing large game, carving tent pegs, or splitting fire wood this knife can handle the chore. With it's massive 1/4" blade thickness this knife can take a serious beating without breaking a sweat. Although 1085 steel may mean a tad more sharpening, a softer steel it is much less likely to chip and break adding to it's durability. Check out the video above for more information!

With 15+ years of outdoors experience, dirt runs through my veins. When I was a child, often I would slip away with nothing more than a pack of matches and a kitchen knife to go on my "outdoor adventures". More than a decade and a half later I'm still here, with new adventures, a little nicer equipment, and a bit more wisdom.
